I love when it gets close to summer because berries are in season and I get to make my favorite jam. I discovered this recipe in a food magazine, it is incredibly easy to make. Once my family started eating this jam we haven't been able to go back to eating store bought jam.

I love that this recipe only uses 4 ingredients!! Berries, chia seeds, honey and cinnamon sticks. The chia seeds add an extra health benefit for all the health nuts like myself.
The fragrance that fills my house once the berries start cooking is incredibly mouth watering and wonderful.

MIXED-BERRY CHIA JAM
- 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
- 2 cups fresh blueberries
- 2 cups fresh blackberries
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/3 cup chia seeds
- 6 inches cinnamon sticks
In a large saucepan combine half of the berries and honey. Bring just to boiling, stirring frequently, reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer, uncovered, 5 min. Remove from heat.
Lightly mash berry mixture with a potato masher or fork. Stir in remaining berries, chia seeds, and cinnamon sticks. Bring just to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered 10 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat. Remove and discard cinnamon sticks.
Ladle hot jam into clean half-pint jars, leaving ¼ inch of space near top. Seal and label.
Store in refrigerator up to 3 weeks or freeze up to 1 year.
