St. Patrick’s day floating shelf decor

Ever since I installed my floating shelf, I have been very excited to decorate it for every holiday. I have never decorated for St. Patricks day before so I was not sure how it was going to turn out. I have to say that I am totally in love with my St. Patricks day decor! In this blog I am going to show you how I made that frame piece. Check out my DIY video first than read the blog below it.

Where I got my supplies:

Dollar Tree - The St. Pattys hat and the hanging welcome piece.

Hobby Lobby - St. Patrick’s day filler, banner and ribbon and candle holder.

Frame - Thrift store and painted it with chalk paint. For my DIY chalk paint recipe check out my blog —> https://www.thesparrowsnest.site/diy-chalk-paint/2017/3/14/diy-chalk-paint

Flower ball - I made the flowerball. You can check out my DIY flowerball blog here -> https://www.thesparrowsnest.site/diyflowerball/2019/2/22/diy-flower-ball

I arranged the pieces onto the ribbon the way that I wanted them to look in the frame. I used the hot glue gun and glued my pieces onto the ribbon. The next steps I did not get a picture of. However you can watch the video above to see the whole process.

I glued the ribbons to the frame and cut off the excess ribbon. Once that is done, it was ready to be placed on the floating shelf.
